Biggest K5 Rally Ever

I'm sure there is a database somewhere that could provide addresses for everyone that owns a K5 or Jimmy. Could mail them info. on it. Also could advertise in Off-Road Magazines.........(maybe one would help sponsor).

I'm into Corvettes and they have HUGE rallies all the time. Of course I think most Corvettes are more worthy of a long road trip than alot of Blazers.

I'd be all for it, but I don't see GM chipping in a whole lot of anything. Conventions/rallies happen every year for 55-57 Chevy's, Camaro's, Vettes, Novas and Chevelles and GM don't send anything out there for them. Granted it's an anniversery year, just look at what they did last year for the 55 Chevy (50 year anniversery for the small block too). They had some events surrounding the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. An event they already support and have been for the last 5 years or more. In other words it's in thier back yard and in line with existing events planned, read cheap to put on. They are doing the same thing for the 50th of the 56 Chevy this year.

Most I've heard GM doing for a annual convention is bringing out the concept Nomad to the annual Nomad club convention. They might invest more in the Vettes with shows going on near the vette plant in Kentucky, but I wouldn't expect a whole lot of GM support on this one.

Even less if GM keeps on it's slide loosing money. I used to work there (thank goodness I left on my own) and you know when the company is tightening it's belt when you got to buy your own coffee in the break rooms.

Like most of the other Clubs/owners associations, you end up going it alone without any factory support. It's still a great Idea that I'd bring my K5 up to for the party...Now's about the time to start planning it because large venue's need lead time for booking. High Country in colorado gets busy in the summertime....Lots of tourists

Awsome idea, but Colorado is not a central location. that is well on the other side of the country. We should hold it in Massachusetts :)

but Colorado has rocks... and real mountains... Kansas don't.

The whole centralized idea could use some work! :D

Forget GM, with all those K5's burning dead dinosaurs to get to the meet, let's get the oil companies to sponsor the gig!

hold it where ever, I dont care, I will make it regardless. long live the K5 Blazer. Blazers Rule can I get a HELL YEA!:saweet: I will be driving the berb :p: blazer aint done yet. :haha:

I know that BMW puts on shows here in South Carolina for all the popular models, like the M series and such. They had several hundred cars at the last one, and it was held on their own grounds.

Sure wish a American made car company (GM) would take the initiative to do the same.
