bikini top

I bought some marine grade canvas, a a small steel strap, and some gromets and plan on doing my own! A friend of mine has a scout and it seems to be roughly the same size as my 75 (windshield wise). Bestop makes a bikini for scouts, haven't tried it yet, so you may want to try and get measurements. There was a guy on here somwhere that said his was made for the dodge ramcharger, but you'd have to do a little looking around to find who makes them for the ramcharger! Oh, they don't make them for blazers...suppose they figure there wasn't enough years to justify making them.

i will look at the tag on the top when i get home to see if it says who made it and part number. When i bought the blazer it came with it. It attached to the front windshield with snaps.

by the way mine is a 75 also. those are pics before i got it back on the road. maybe 1 year ago.

Before I bought the full soft top for my '73, I stopped by a local upholstery shop. He said he'd make a really nice one for $125.00.

Another way you can go is from Bestop. Give their customer service a call and ask to verify, but I bought mine many years ago and they said that the widest bikini top they make is for the Land Cruiser. It fits the Blazer pretty good. Part Number 52540. Toll Free: (800) 845-3567

For Real!! Thats a sweet 'kini top. Would love to get some dimentions, or a manufacturer/part number on that!

Well???????
Either way, i stopped over to my buddy's house and measured his windshield frame (75 scout II). The soft top channel is 53" across, the entire width of the soft top (from outer snap to outer snap) is 57". Those of you lucky enough to be driving yours with the top off let us know! I'd like to hear the channel width to start and then from snap to snap (pretty much the outer most aspect of the windshield frame).

Full vert, the channel where the seal is is 53". Overall width of the windshield frame at the top is 57"...

Sounds like the Scout top would work well for a 73-75 anyways.
