Black Diamond springs

I have A guy wanting me to buy 2.5" Black Diamond springs for the front of my Blazer. I'm inexperienced with this but he insist they came off of an 86' blazer and they would give mine a nice 2.5 lift. My research says these are made for jeeps- Will they work on the front of my 88' blazer?

Is Black Diamond still manufactured? Warn owns, or owned, the rights to that name brand. They obtained the BD line of products from Rugged Trail and changed the RT name over to BD.

I didn't know Warn still makes BD suspension stuff. Thought they discontinued it. If this is true, the springs you're looking at are probably old and used BD's or NOS springs.

If I remember right warn black diamond springs where low lift and very soft. I bieleve they wore out fairly quick and lost their lift or sagged to about half their listed lift hight.

But they DID make lifts for fullsize chevys once upon a time.

Yeah, I remember when Rugged Trail had some soft springs and bought some once way back in '90. They were 2 leaves. They did not look like the factory front springs at all. Had the same size poly bushings as Rancho's, etc. Matter of fact, theres a guy not far from here who is parting a K10 and it has these old RT springs on it and I've been meaning to offer him cash for them.

Warn took over and kept the same spring in their line for a while. Only the bushing colors changed from orange to black.

I should have stated these are used. There is like four leaves(I think) and they have the colored bushings. They look pretty good. Will they work on the front of my blazer for a little lift? And Will I need to change shocks or anything else major FOR just 2.5" or less? Your opinion on these as a buy are welcome.

FYI: superlift makes black dimond now but its mostly jeep stuff
