More on topic, I like the painted-grille-to-match-the-truck look. When I get around to putting a grille back on my K5, or using expanded mesh or something, I'll paint it to match as well. On your truck, I'd paint ALL the silver parts, not just the grille but all the plastic up front.
Maybe mask off the bowtie and keep it for a bit of highlight ... obviously on this truck, highlight ain't the point!
(That's water dripping off, btw, first thing the morning AFTER I painted it.)

do just the headlight bezel. don't paint the chrome. looks like the center bar is already black. a little shine never hurt.

I painted my grill black but masked off the chevy emblem. I thought it looked really good. If you do it, make sure you sand off the plastic chrome stuff, paint doesn't like to stick to that.

Yeah I wanted to leave that chrome trim and just paint the plastic parts

not the best picture.......
this is mine before the billet grille...... that got smashed by a tree, so now i'm back to plastic again.
Second picture is almost up to date. I've since painted the main section of the grill, but i left the center strip of chrome to make everything stand out more. .leaving the outer chrome trim draws more attension to the black also, atleast i think, then the emblem really pops at you. My own opinion though.

I think it looks good the way it is. You've got chrome accent, and already have a body color stripe.
Black everything makes ME (personal opinion) think that someone has no creativity or artistic vision. (taste? Questionable) No offense to those that have all black rigs, that's just my personal opinion, which is what was asked for.

I got a 1990 S10 Blazer that im thinking about doing the same thing. I dont know what or how much to paint. I might just do all of it. But i have chrome bumpers. I also still have the chrome strips around the edges by the tires and i have silver rims. I wanted to paint those too but i dont know how dumb it would look...

What do i paint?
I got a 1990 S10 Blazer that im thinking about doing the same thing. It WAS two tone grey and black but i painted that yesterday now its all black. I dont know what or how much to paint. I might just do all of it. But i have chrome bumpers. I also still have the chrome strips around the edges by the tires and i have silver rims. I wanted to paint those too but i dont know how dumb it would look...

I work in the dental clinic. Before you tell me, i know my job is gay. I hate it. I know i dont have anything to do with fighting the war on terrorism. I didnt ask for this job but this is what i got. Whenever those commercials come on about how people are proud of the military i know they're not talking about me. Im completely safe doing my job. I dont like that. I want a new job but i cant for another 3 years. Yes I am at aviano. Why do you ask?
