I just rebuilt my carb last weeend and it is doing the same thing when it alwasy gets cold out. I warm my truck up in the morning and then get going well it only goes up to about 25 to 30 and starts blowing black smoke out the back and it seems like it is oing to stall out on me. Any clues on what I might fix on it it is an 85 with a 305 and a stck q jet.

Typical quadrajet symptom. Its your choke. Its either not pulling off, or its not set correctly.

Sounds like it's running rich. Check and make sure the choke isn't sticking. I'm assuming the carb is clean due to the rebuild and the floats are moving properly.

Why do people keep calling it a Bronco!!!!!
