Right now I have a tan Jimmy with a white top, but I'm getting the urge to spray paint a different color. I'm thinking about going with a black top with some other color, but the thing thats holding me up is, how hot does that black top get in the summer? I dont want my family complaining cause its to hot to take the Jimmy.

Thanks

I had a black topped '87 when I lived in Houston. Getting into that thing after it had been sitting in the sun felt like there was a giant heater in the back seat. It was amazing how much heat that top threw off! :eek1:

Wish I would have thought to ask that question before I painted my top. Went from a light tan to a dark brown and wow what a difference it made.

I already painted my top black but it was already a dark blue so it didn't make that big of a difference. Eh well, it's a trailer queen anyways.

I used to have a white top on my 78 k5 and it was just about as hot as my 82 with a black top
