Black Widow Performance experience

I need to know if anybody has any experience with Black Widow Performance. I can not get ahold of anyone at their place. I have called the only number on their website and left a message and I have sent an email to every email address they list for sales, tech help, etc.... I don't get any response from them. Now I am not complaing --- yet, but I placed an order on Tuesday May 15. I just want to know when I will get my order. My credit card was charged the next day so they didn't hesitate to get my money. So does anybody have any experience with these guys??? Like I said I still have faith but I am getting a little nervous cause my order was not cheap. THANKS :confused:
 
i know protechk5 is experiencing the same trouble. hes been waiting for his brakelines for almost a month. he has called, left emails and cant get ahold of them
 
I do have some experience and I wouldn't worry. They do sometimes take a while to get back to you, but Shane seems to hang around here pretty often so I'd expect a post from him.

I have a feeling they are not a big warehouse/building type of company and so they probably answer emails at the end of the day after wheeling their own rigs and going to the grocery store. :D
 
when i bought from them last year i never had any problems, but i dont know whats going on now.
 
I emailed Shane on the 14th about a problem with my order from April I was finally trying to install (the brake lines he sent had rectangular ends and I needed rounded). He got right back to me the next day. He mentioned they were at least 2-3 weeks out on custom orders for brake lines. I'm not sure what you ordered, but maybe that's why. When I was going back and forth on my order in April he was always within a day getting back to me. Maybe they are super swamped, and got a little behind. They have a pretty good rep around here, so I wouldn't be too worried yet.

Find out who the vendor/member is on ck5 and PM him to find out what's up. A thread a while back stated that it looks like Black Wido possible was copying another vendors product and the vendor from BW reponded back immediately saying that it is not the case. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
 
I've had parts take a little while to get to me, brake lines in particular, but they've always responded to my inquiries and gone out of their way to help me out and provide me with custom stuff.

Keep in mind you're not going down to kragen and getting run of the mill parts from vendors on boards like these. This kind of thing can take time, best to order parts before you need them. Although I agree, communication is always good, even if it the message being relayed is not so good...
 
Thanks for the input. But like I said I am not bashin them, its just that I have sent several emails and phone messages over the last week with no response. And for info I ordered their 14blt disc brake kit #3. I don't expect the order fast I just want to hear from them to know they got my order.
 
I really surprised he hasn't got back to you. Keep trying. Maybe now would be a good time to get a cK5 membership, then you could PM him. He always got right back to me by PM. Of course they longest he took by email I think was a day or two.

I know it is not a problem of yours, but yes, we are swamped right now. We are a small shop, so sometimes it takes a little longer for us to catch up.

AFA protechk5, I have e-mailed him at least 3 times trying to confirm his order. There is seems to be a mistake on his part and I need to confirm it before I ship it. I have also asked him to call me on my cell to discuss, but I have never gotten a response. I am trying to avoid shipping parts that I know are wrong and then him having to pay all over for new parts and shipping.

Please rest assured, we do not take money and not deliver parts.
 
Shane is a good guy. His info is accurate and his stuff is well thought out. I understand you being nervous, but you don't need to be.
 
Hey thanks for the contact! I should also let everybody know that Shane also emailed me to let me know everything is cool. So thanks to Shane and Black Widow Performance. I am at ease, and look forward to all the cursing, beer drinking, and sweat that my disc brake kit will bring !!!!!! THANKS
