Blazer bash 2008 MOAB!!

Plans on already rolling for this :D Justin (citizen rider) & me are starting the plannig process. I talked to a couple of my buddies & they're gonna start saving up. So far from Texas, its Justin, me, Robert (projectfreedom '91 K5, 465, 241, 52s, 63s, 42s, D60/14 bolt, etc) & another buddy Cesar (with a '85 CJ, 302, 60s, air shocks front & rear, 42s). So hopefully we can all finish our rigs, save enough money for the 1500 mile (one way) trip, & be there for BB 08. Any idea of fees and date yet?

I already started packing my bags. Not really, but I can't stop thinking about it. I dread the 20 hour drive though.

When I see an exact date, I will try to schedule a vacation. I have already started to save for the fuel bill :(

I will have to be back to work for the last day of the month. That may throw a kink in my plans.

A lot of Guys usually leave on Sunday afternoon anyways so if you come up in time to wheel Thursday and pack and leave Sunday that would give you plenty of time to travel.

^ :haha: same for us, don't worry about it...but we're planning a pit stop in Las Cruces :D

I made the drive to maryland, i can survive this:haha:

Gotta see how cash flow is gonna work this summer. Already throwin into savings. But its lookin like ill have to rent a trailer unless i manage to make more money than im plannin. Purchase a trailer or moab....I choose moab.

I have a friend in the Huston area who has a 40ft or so dual axle dual wheel trailer who is coming up for the Bash empty. If any of you down that way need help getting there maybe we could work something out. He may end up flying so really not sure yet.

Actually me and 72Blazer are looking for more from Texas to convoy with. If he has an open trailer that can fit two rigs, that would be cool. We can split fuel costs.

Sounds like he has an empty trailer on the way up there but bringing something back...We should just take the black dooly that way the wifes and us can fit...probably even Aidan :haha:

Yeah right. I couldn't imagine driving 21 hours with a car seat in the middle. At least I will be driving, and be nice and comfortable. Well the gooseneck is on, talked to my diesel supplier, and got a 97 gallon transfer tank for the trip.

He would be empty both ways if he drove just has to come up to Hooper to get me and my buggy. He was talking about leaving the trailer up here though.

It looks like the date has been set for the 19th-21st. If I take vacation from the 17th-24th, That should allow for plenty of driving time, in case I have a problem. I don't know if I can push the ole Dodge for 20 hours straight. I will be putting in my vacation request on Monday for this.

I will not be changing my mind or backing out. I am going. I will be there unless I lose my job between now and then. I don't see that happening.

Looks like $350 in fuel each way and 19 hours of driving time.
