They have camping spots that work well also, their bathrooms are nice as well as the showers.

Well rats on Moab Rim cabins being filled. I guess it is Moab Valley or Canyon Lands as a back up. I was at Moab Valley spring a year ago, They no longer have the security gate and have added small bathrooms to some of the cabins. They have lots of bare-bones cabins. Slickrock is run-down and not very good. It used to be the central campground for BB.
Yeah it's a dump now. Probably let you drop the oil on the ground though
Moab Valley is nice. Downside is it's on the opposite side of town from Moab Rim. Upside is the pool. There's not a good campground near Moab Rim that I'm aware of.

Very new. very few trees. Don't really like off roaders. According to a friend who stayed there.

Yeah I've not heard positive things about the KOA. I do seem to recall a very spartan campground down the road from Moab Rim, based on Wade's description, that may be it.
Well, I went ahead and made a reservation with Moab Rim. My plan for 2017 is to stay a week, arriving on Sunday the 3rd and leaving Sunday the 10th. I got a cabin reserved from Sunday until Thursday for now. So I got a place to stay for the pre game, holding out for a spot to stay for the main event.
We will be there for the full week as well. Planning to run a couple trails and hit the 2 national parks before the Bash.
I am thinking about doing that too. May be camping / cabin / hotel it though.
I didn't get a conformation email yet... how long did it take? Usually it has been right off the phone but I believe Reed has always taken mine.
