Blazer Bash 2017

Well rats on Moab Rim cabins being filled. I guess it is Moab Valley or Canyon Lands as a back up. I was at Moab Valley spring a year ago, They no longer have the security gate and have added small bathrooms to some of the cabins. They have lots of bare-bones cabins. Slickrock is run-down and not very good. It used to be the central campground for BB.

Last year I couldn't get an RV space for the weekend at Moab rim so I ended up staying at OK RV park. They have 4 cabins and only a few blocks away from Moab rim campground over closer to the old city park. It was a decent campground and reasonably priced. $39 a night for rustic cabin. okrvpark.com

They did not mind the off road people? I know they try to cater to horse people.
I didn't see any horse people there when I was staying there. I don't think they care as long as they get their money. They do have a back gate that opens into the Spanish Trail arena.

Amber is supposed to be getting us an RV spot this year. We upgraded to a diesel pusher so we'll be glamping in style!

Oooooohhhh.

Roughing it and not showering got old?

Or are you getting old?

No, we still rough it and not shower sometimes. But other times it's nice to have solid walls and a comfortable place to sit down. It's maiden voyage is going to be KOH for a week and a half, we just got done putting a 15,000 lb hitch on it, replaced the batteries, new water pump, race radio installed and new tires and wheels are going on today.

We've had a cabover for a while, but once we picked up the rooftop tent we really stopped using it. It sucked staying in that thing at KOH (although it's better than a tent) and we only drug it up to Moab a couple times as a cabin was more comfortable for us and our dogs. The new RV is a huge step up from the camper and is nicer inside than my house is. There's even room for the kegerator!

I don't think a rockwell would be strong enough for this thing... It's 32,000lb GVWR and 42,000lb GCVWR.

That being said, IF I were to do something like that (I'm not), I would do a divorced t-case in the middle somewhere since the rear shaft is currently about 3" long...

We all do. I got to ride in Jeff Gordon's truck in Baja. Was so cool. Driving one in a race would take a lot of seat time to get good at it.
