There are a lot of variables.
Friday trails need to be done in time to get everyone to the BBQ. I lead Hells that day to keep it moving. With the new shortcut exit, it is easier.
Cliffhanger is 6 to 8 hours.
Poison spider is 5 to 7 hours.
Golden spike can be from 5 hours with a good group and committed to moving, to 26 hours. Yes, it has happened.
Pritchett 5 to 8 with no breakdowns.
Copper ridge, no idea. Never have ran it. I am assuming a full day. It looks like it can be cut short or made longer depending on time. I am assuming a lot of picture taking stops.
Steel bender. 3 to 6 hours. We do this one on sunday because 1/2 of the trail can be bypassed if people need to leave.
Keeping a good pace is important to having a shorter day. Some people say I push too hard. But most have figured out to go to a higher gear between obstacles. No need to poke along at 2mph on smooth ground. I can not wheel with jeep clubs for this reason.
The other reason I like to keep moving, other than shear boredom, is if there is breakage, we have more time to fix it.
@76zimmer, I know you can move. We ran that night in Michigan. I can not promise you will not put a branch through your windshield, but it is much less likely to happen in Moab.

I have been staying quiet in this thread, doubt the truck will make it but maybe a spectator.
Just finished skimming through all of this.
The Resurrected Rusty burb will be there, well equipped with a 6.5, D60/14B, 4.88s, Ox/Detroit, 37” Toyos, and a 5-6” lift with ORD custom springs.
I’m not so much concerned about the truck, as much as I am about driver skill, having my wife and two sons with me, and my tendency to fret over worst case scenarios. I have not done any serious wheeling in over 10 years and this will be their first real trip.
Perhaps, though, it will be like riding a bike, and come back to me. I wheeled the crap out of my TJ back in the day, which was similarly equipped with 4.88s, an Ox, and a Detroit.
Also important, is that we are driving my rig out from Florida and will need to be able to drive it back. So all things considered, I’m perfectly happy to take any available bypasses and newbie trails.
Anybody willing to take a newbie family under their wing and show us the ropes?
Recommendations as to first-timer trails?
