Blazer Bash 2021 not Last Minute Thrash

Msd box is on and wiring up the fans tomorrow morning to it.

Started to get frustrated and irritated so called it a night after 2.5 hours.

Add phone screen on the list.

If I'm still wrenching on my truck Thursday before the bash send help, I'll be at moab rim campground doing little things.

Before anyone says anything, moab rim doesn't like us working on our rigs so don't get carried away with what your doing...

Went over to Larry's place to help him put the hood back on his K10.

Had a little time on our hands so we tried out the XJ intermediate steering shaft install on mine.

Out with the old shaft and rag joint

Installed.

The hardest part was hand filing a groove on the end of the steering column to allow the upper pinch bolt to pass by.

Felt pretty good on the ride home. Worth it.

Front Axle all sealed up, waiting for Right stuff to be good and set up then fill with gear oil, Rear ARB fixed, installed and dif cover back on just waiting for Right stuff to set and axle shafts.

ToDo

Install rear axle shafts (Clean up hub faces and axle flanges first)
Fill front and rear with gear oil
replace output housing on 205 (driveshaft out etc as part of this)
Install battery and start it for the first time in 22 months ( do this sooner rather than later)
Skid Plate and panels
Winch control switch replaced
Install GPS, headsets etc (all plug in crap but needs to be done)
Find or make two tires usable

Pack tools (Filling tool bag with tools that are needed as tasks are finished already so this should be somewhat easy)

I've been working on this in my driveway but since it sounds like rain in coming later this week I better get it off the trailer and into the garage so I can putz with the easy things in the evenings. Hopefully by Monday morning next week I can load up and make things ready to go.

Edit: I also just registered Alex, my copilot who helps me make poor life choices, it's been a few years since he has been to BB with me so this should go terribly for our livers.

Alex as in THE Alex?

Well a monkey wrench got tossed in the fire today...

My roommate tested positive, I did a rapid test and turned up negative. I can't go into work until monday without a negative test again and I feel perfectly fine right now. Looks like I get to quarantine Moab prep. Hopefully I don't come down with anything or I will have to cancel.

I'm on the side of my brother house in his trailer camping out away from everyone.

Wow! Can you quarantine while working on your truck?

I managed to get a few things checked off the list last night. Tomorrow morning I have to go out of town for the rest of the week for work.
