Blazer Bash 2021 not Last Minute Thrash

Seems like every time we take the trailer somewhere, we have to replace at least 1 tire that looks like it's about to fall apart.

I decided to try to get my junk ready, no time like the last second right.

This was however not expected, trouble is the ARB is fubar some how too. But there’s options for traction aids there. Might have to go old school orb of traction.
Front axle carnage investigation begins tonight. Hopefully it needs an outer axle seal for a temp fix and oil retention since the inner axle seal is toast and I’m not into tearing the axle down to fix it right now.

Please tell me there is video of said carnage/action. Inquiring rubberneckers want to know.

That car has been broke so long, the video is on 8mm film.
I was thinking like flip book style silent film type old, and the carnage was pretty un spectacular. Running theory is that at BB 2019 when I tried to rip the rear axle out of the General there was a good deal of fatigue placed in the rear axle components, nothing broke but a few weeks later when I was in a hard trail local to us the rear end failed in multiple places nearly at once. Then the extraction process took out the right front axle shaft which torn up the seal, then the winch fest that insued took out two tires. I needed WAY more than the two Jack and Cokes I had that day to get over that shit show.

Keep in mind the axle shafts were Superior brand axle shafts dating back to the time period they were in business and sponsoring the race car effort, the ARB goes back to 2010 and hasn't been looked at since January 2013. Not one part of the vehicle owes me anything, it's been used and taken care of but at some point fatigue life is a real thing and I think I'm there.

I have to buy 4 new tires at least for my trailer. I had a spare mounted on the trailer, never touched the ground, 2 years old and it blew out the sidewall sitting in my driveway. AZ is no joke to tires and also trailer tires SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

When you destroy two tires in 24hrs. and proceed to steal one of your brothers fancy Nittos to get off the trail he returns the favor and gives you that hot ripper wheel.
That trail has never been very nice to you. I remember another issue you had on that trail right before Blazer Bash.

I'm tempted to never run it again, but I'm also a gluten for punishment and really like the trial so I'll be back on it soon enough.

We were up there last month and ran two of the other trails and dropped in the exit of that trail since I didn’t get to see it last time.

Definitely, if you can be a little nicer to it the week before

Maybe an entire spare vehicle...

I think these two quotes go hand in hand.

In my defense, I was told to backup and leave like I wasn't coming back. So I did, then we put the rear axle back in the crew cab, towed it out more. Then a few weeks later I got to enjoy the fruits of my labors. This is like the worst Billy Mays commercial ever, But wait there's more.

No kidding on the trailer tires suck. I never got more than a year and a half out of mine. Switched the trailer to 16" wheels and LT load range E tires and they seem to last about 4 years now.
