Blazer factory rear heater set up

Dealer accessory, I think, vs installed at the factory. I'd never heard of it meself, but apparently it could be had for any C/K truck or G van in the mid-70's anyway -- see the middle:

Hmm I might have to do something similar to that. Except for that price you could pick up one of the Summit heaters and just tap in to your exsisiting heat box. LEave the switch in the back for the passengers to control the fan speed and your set.

We had one in our old suburban and the do work....I just don't remember how well they work.

When I had my 91' sub, I found a used box in Seattle and was going to install. I ended up selling before I ever got it installed. I do remember it got in the way of a 4x8 sheet of plywood if you wanted to put it in the truck on the floor though.

Mine looked exactly like the one above but not nearly as nice. It does look accurate though....even down to the pipe clamp for the fan shield. I do think it came from the factory like that.....

If you had all options on the suburban you would have 4 switches up front! (A/C, Heater, Rear Defog and window roll down switch). I think I still have a NOS switch bezel laying around.

I don't recall ever seeing it in a Blazer though.
