Did a Blazer fuel tank swap on my 83 k10, fuel is getting to the carb but it wont fire. I'm running an edelbrock 1406 right now. And we are getting spark but the truck will not start. Any Ideas?

Ran fine, just not getting fuel to carb. Checked all the lines, new fuel pump, cleaned carb. Still no fuel to carb. Unfortunately, new carb is not in the budget.

are your lines collapsing, is the pickup screen clogged, is your pump even pumping any fuel? If your pump is pumping then it looks like filters are clogged, if it is not then im betting on collapsing lines or a dirty pickup screen.

The fuel sender and screen are brand new. My son and I just checked to see if the lines were colapsing and from what we can see they are not. We are using one of the glass filters and there is just a small amount of fuel in it, but it will just not reach the carb.

have you checked the line at the tank will actually give you fuel? did you used the carbed pickup and all or might it be a tank from a fuel injected truck. just go down the line checking untill you find where the fuel isint flowing

Im betting kinked line at the tank or dirty fuel pick up in the tank.

IMO, if your lines are visibly good, Time to drop the tank.

Tank is from a 76 k5, my son parted out. Sender was purchased brand new for an 83 k5.

is your tank venting at all, try cranking with the gas cap cracked

Tried that no luck.

We still haven't put the bed back on yet, we were waiting until we made sure it ran. There are no kinks what so ever in any of the lines. And the fuel sender is brand new so it's not a dirty pick up.

Everything for this swap other than the tank is brand new, sender, fuel lines, fuel pump, and filters. Which is why I'm stumped. We even swapped in the old pump to be safe and still nothing. We blew out all the lines from front to back, to be safe. Just really confused on this.

Rechecked all the lines for flow, kinks, or blockages - none. Decided to check a few other things. Replaced the coil, the one that was in there didn't look too good. Checked the firing order - my other son said that he checked last weekend - was totally screwed up. After correcting these things, we are getting plenty of fuel, but still won't start. Going to rebuild the carb since it has been sitting for a couple of years and try again this coming weekend.

Check to see if you got the pick up hose and vent hose for evap correct. I can see somebody getting those two mixed up.

Sounds like some crud hit the float valve. There is a tiny hole there, and it doesn't take much to plug it.
Plus, some carbs have a filter right under the valve seat to prevent that.
Either way, pull the top off the carb, take the float out, and unscrew the float valve seat and see if you can blow through it.

Rebuilt the carb today wasn't in too bad of shape. Getting some gas to carb, have good spark. Fuel filter is in correct and pointing in the right direction. Still won't start. I'm stumped.
