I wish I had somewhere to start storing hard tops and parts. They are easy to come by now, but like another post said, it's all supply and demand, but, the demand will increase and supply only go down. There are hardtops all over the place now, but they ain't making them anymore and they aren't available aftermarket. Give it another 10 years and I bet all the K5's that unfortunately left this world and make to the great junk yard in the sky and get parted out will be gone. The only ones left on the road will be the die hard K5 guys like the ones on this site and their trucks will be around forever. The daily driver surplus of junk parts is going to dry up one day.....
It is possible, good 1st gen tops are starting to be worth folding money. Sometimes people will pay for a 73-75 top. BUT, there are a lot more 76-91 tops out there AND they don't crack as easily. It will probably be a long time before they are wort much.
...I had two spares for a while and finally cut one up so the trash man would take it. Anyone want the other extra before it meets the same fate. I can't see any need for a spare when I hardly ever have the first one on there.
