Blazer/Suburban Interchangability

I need a new tailgate for my 89 Blazer. I found a guy selling the tailgate from his 85 Suburban. He's sure it will bolt right up but I can't find any documentation on the web that supports his claim? Does anyone know about compatibility between these two beasts?

Burb gates are different and wont work. Take a look at a pic for one, you'll notice the Burb style has little "ears" on each top corner that blend with moldings in the window opening on the body. Your K5 gate should be flat across the top.

he speeks truth, EVEN the guts are different, the track and even how the power moters work, ( steel cable vs gear box like a door window)

And mounting and hinges yup everything
