I am trying to figure out a fuel system for my truck.
I am thinking a blazer tank between the frame rails would be a good choice. I would like an in tank pump. Did the blazer tanks have that? If so will the pumps that fit in them pump enough fuel for my 8.1L? Can someone school me on these blazer tanks? thanks

Before I decided on going fuel cell when I did my TBI, I priced out all the parts through NAPA and it was under $400.00 bucks for the tank and all accessories.

reason for a stock tank is because no fuel cells exist in a JY. :D just trying to do this on the cheap and keep an in tank pump. I've been told the TBI pumps wont deliver the needed fuel. I will have to look into that further though. Thanks for the help.

vtblazer. Do you have any pics of your fuel cell setup?

The TBI pump is going to be the limiting factor. There are stock Delco pumps that fit the sending unit, up to about 75PSI.

Stock TBI tanks aren't very good pieces, the baffles inside are made of plastic and tend to break. TBI sender will fit in any tank the same size, so you could get an aftermarket all metal '87-91 Blazer replacement for about $130, and the sender from a wrecking yard. Or use it in a 1986-down tank, but you lose the baffling that keeps it running with low fuel levels and inclines, declines and corners.
