blazer/truck cab conversion

Figured it has been talked about probally about a million times here so someone would know, so here it goes.....

I want to make a non-permanent truck cab conversion that would shorten the existing fiberglass top to about 15 inches and install a tailgate with the window in it behind the seats. essentially ending up with a small light weight removeable top and having a power rear window. The measurements seem to work out so far, but if someone has already tried it and failed for some unknown reason then I will save my time

SOOOOO, has anyone pulled this off. I am finding hard to locate one of the half cab conversions they used to make for it.

Edit: Not exactly what you're describing, but close. I've toyed with the idea of a custom bulkhead and "top" that would include a power window, using the power portion from an extra tailgate that I have in storage.
