Huh? Ok he didn't say his price was directly from auction results but when he makes the comparison he's doing the same thing.
All kidding aside, I probably need to get mine appraised. But the camper you referenced is typical in the "overland" world. Price out any camper similar to one of those. They are all nuts. Even new Four Wheel Campers range from $20,000 for a regular slide-in to $30,000 for a flatbed model. Other campers like Camp X are in the same crazy price range. Since Overlanding is a cool thing to do these companies are cashing in. I don't see all of them surviving long term. You'll see the established ones stay like FWC, Phoenix, Hallmark.Gonna advise the crawlabago crowd to up their insured value.
Look at this slide in pop up price

yeah but that's just the dude trying to make a sale. He thinks he's going to come up on a good profit with that ad. You and I see right through it but some rich sucker is going to give him a call and pick it up at full price, i think.
I used to think a half cap on a K5 might be kinda cool, but now I've changed my mind.I’m calling dibs on this one

85k...are you serious? So here's the rub. A really nice one goes through BAT for $85,000 and the seller of this K5 thinks by that logic his is worth $32,000.
'70 K5
His details from the ad:
There is no basis of the idea that a freshly restored '70 went through an auction site then his HAS to be worth $32k. It's a crock. It looks solid no doubt, but it's not reaching restored values.
Mine will be going to my daughter in my will.In the last year I have been asked twice to put a price on mine. {I would not do it.}While I am pretty sure it is worth more than the actual cash I have in it I really cannot see selling it unless some one offers me stupid money for it.
Funny you should say that, I have got quite a few classic/special interest cars and trucks but all three of my kids want the same one. Not sure yet how that is gonna work out.Mine will be going to my daughter in my will.
Now you have my curiosity up, which one do they want?Funny you should say that, I have got quite a few classic/special interest cars and trucks but all three of my kids want the same one. Not sure yet how that is gonna work out.

Honestly I didn't let him get to a number. I told him I'm finishing up the 8.1/5-speed swap. He was cool and understood. Was it a reasonable offer?
53 Bel Air Convertible. Chopped and sectioned {not shortened, ask an old guy}. 383,World Product heads, turbo 400, 10 bolt posi with disc brakes all the way around.
My daughter would whip the two boys. They would be laughing too hard and they know I would put the hurts to them if my little girl got hurt. I'm planning on throwing another one in the mix tomorrow {car not kid}, maybe that will shake things up.
Everybody, my son Austin. Austin, everybody.Well its to bad for the other two you don't have a will spliting everything up.
