Their is no confirmed or agreed upon definition of a street car. Which means, if your balls are big enough, anything is a street car.
Some of the stuff being sold for big money as Pro Street or Drag Street(hooker?), I would not get in and drive due to the undercarriage pictures.
Some more work done today. Anyone have any input on Speedmaster control arms ?? The reason I ask is two fold not really looking forward to pressing out the old bushings and the Speedmaster are pretty cheap like $350 for all four. I know you get what you pay for but.... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sdm-pce179-1011/make/chevrolet/model/chevy-ii/year/1968 Thoughts ?
From the description,... "Provides additional built-in positive caster which improves your handling ability" Is it adjustable? How much positive caster?
Those arms look similar to my offer up score that I put on my chevelle, only put few miles on them so far but it aligned well .
Speedmaster are china units. The trick is that the ball joints suck. Buy the arms and then replace the ball joints from day one. Other then that they ok. Alot of guys don't want to mess with brand new arms and will turn around and buy a USA made unit with a quality ball joint all ready installed.
So ordered the new arms. Ordered my other shock. Ordered some axle tie downs for the new trailer. Ordered new motor mounts that I shouldn't have to cut and weld back together to fit the frame mounts. Car came with a 6cyl so the frame mounts are a bit different then the 8cyl ones. At least the ones that fit the BBC that was in it had to be cut down to fit the SBC that was in it.
