Blazer's 84 Blazer 4wd to 2wd

1984 Chevrolet Blazer
I thought 2wd always needed the 2wd crossmember cause it comes with the arm mounting points. I didn't read much, probably missed the important stuff :haha:

So got almost all of the 4wd stuff off. Still have yo do the rear front spring mounts. Got the rivets torched just need to bang off the mounts and probably do some grinding also.
This is the crossmember that I am talking about.

Got the 2wd suspension in sort of kind of just stuck it in there. Any thoughts on weather or not it can be just be welded to the frame ? It has three bolts the go through the bottom of the C in order to drill those hole I have to get it lined up then use spray paint and spray up through the inside of the cross member and mark the bottom of the frame. Then do some upside down drilling to drill the holes to then bolt to the bottom of the C .
My thought is just weld the bottom of the C to the cross member then drill the holes and bolt it to the sides. The motor mounts will be above the welds.

As long as you get at least the side bolts in, the bottom can be welded.
In my humble opinion
