Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

just a question dont know if it was figured already..... but is the shaft gonna hit here at full droop

Well the picture is a little deceiving. The d-shaft is about 2 inches higher then the cross mount. I have a high pinion axle so it doesn't move as much at the top.

I am planning on doing some flexing to make sure but I think it is going to be OK.

i figured 2-3" but wasnt sure how far it moves.. looks good though:thumb:

Thanks

Started working on mounting the seats got the mounts built for the rear most ones going to get them mounted in the morning.

Then going to start working on putting in the second row. Still trying to figure out the design in my head though.

Got another console same color as the one in the front going to put it between the middle two seats.

So seats are in and done.

Still have to do the rear seat belts but that should bad.

Need to time it also it, it is a little off

Others are of the seats

Hey Keith on the skidplate mount, the angle iron. Not really before blazer bash but eventually you should plate that other side.

I have seen mounts exactly like yours on other trucks ( way way lighter trucks) get folded up pretty quick.

Also seen the bolts get tweeked so hard they had to be cut out, just get some tube you can still fit the socket in, weld that on and cut the flat plate to fit, weld, grind, weld, grind, weld, grind, you know the drill

been thinking bout doing the same thing to my doors as well

also going to try fabbing some kind of mount so I can reuse the stock mirrors. My little motorcycle mirrors aren't cutting it any more.

It is actually an option that DIY has got them after I got the doors put the fronts on when I put them in, never got around to the back.

I am running a circle track rear view mirror and no sides.

So all the seat belts are in. All six of them lap belt only but all are five point belts.

Put a Toyota part in the truck, think it made it a bit cooler or at least give the kids something to watch.

I've long thought it would be fun to have one of those. You're right I think the kids would enjoy watching it.

i had one of those in my '81 yota, they're pretty cool! its a nice addition to your rig.
