Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

So all the seat belts are in. All six of them lap belt only but all are five point belts.

Put a Toyota part in the truck, think it made it a bit cooler or at least give the kids something to watch.

I like It. But then my wife would probably just set her limits before she exits the vehicle.

Your a tease!!!!!! Nice though.

I called Keith this afternoon to tell him I was coming up:

Me- Hey Keith, I just left, I'll be there in an hour or so.

Keith- Ok, I'll be in the back flipping the burb.

Me- ...uh, what?...

Keith- Don't worry, you'll get to see the aftermath.

Me- ...uh what!?

Keith- Later!

Me- Bye?

Not quite verbatim, but pretty close. I thought maybe he was goofing off and rolled Twinkie while doing donuts on his back acre. :haha:

So took Twinkie for a ride down to the local farm market, they have a scale :waytogo:

5810-5820 it is in 10 lb increments

Basically a empty tank and no spare with the wind shield still in :woot::woot:

Can buy a 7000 lb trailer and still be good to go

So finally got around to pulling the wind shield.

I am really glad that I ruined it when I was welding and grinding near it. Not sure if all of you have pulled a wind shield before. basically cut the rubber seal window comes out.

Not a chance in h_ _ _ this one was doing that.

Dang thing was glued, epoxied, siliconed and any thing else the could find.

Which confirms my suspicions that it was involved in a crash and they had replaced it and the re-placers were idiots, :doah:

Had I carefully saved it before then broke it trying to get it out I would not have been a happy camper.

On a better note got four new speakers for free for it, marine 6in for the front and 6x9's for the back.

Got the tiltometer light wired up and the tach mounted.

Bought a new air cleaner for it but it is too big so have to return it. Did get a new antenna for it though.

Got rear speakers in, even put them in boxes. Ended up putting a set of boat speakers in the back was going to put them in the front with some 6x9's in the back but they would require a bunch of hacking which wasn't working out very well.

Got the drivers side rock lights in need to run the passenger side, hopefully today. Going to run the so one switch will control each side.

Have to clean the front window area up and might be done after that.

So got back from the bash have a few issues to deal with

two new dents

a ripped out of the frame shock tower

a couple of busted fender mounts

front drive-shaft the did indeed hit the cross-member.

Don't have a picture of the drive shaft but is scraped the Tom Woods sticker of in one spot.

Fix is going to be rather simple going to pull the cross-member, notch the tube and that is it.

Going to do some more work on the cross-member too make it a bit more stout

Dents don't care going to be gone one I narrow it.

Shock mount need to fix the frame first. Then do some attachments to the down bars I built. Then connect it all with a hoop going over the engine.

Did some other thinking about stuff.

Going to pull out the two last row seats and only put one back.

This way when it get narrowed I will still have enough space to store crap to carry to the trail.
