I like how you did the parking brake. I might have to borrow that idea. :D

I think I would keep the roof rack.
 
So does the parking brake lock the front or rear brakes?
 
It locks the rear on mine but you could run it to lock the front. It would just mean putting it in line on the fronts.

I will be able to do some cool front digs now.
 
Got the passenger side back of it totally skinned. Rather pain had to break out the cutting torch.

On to the drivers side on Wednesday.
 
Keith have you already bled the brake system after the PB install? I couldn't get my ball valve to not leak, so I took it out. What brand of valve is that, and is it a brass body?
 
Yeah bled it and all, got the ball valve from ORD not sure what brand it is though.

Chris said they had issues bleeding theirs a bit. He said make sure its lower then the master cylinder.
 
I didn't have any trouble bleeding the system, just couldn't get the ball valve I was using (Stainless Jamesbury brand) to stop seeping brake fluid out of the body...
Can you look at the handle and see if there is a manufacturer on it?
 
Can I just tell you how much it sucks using a cut off wheel to skin the sides. They only last about two feet then need to be replaced. May have to buy stock in them.

Whose idea was it to keep it looking like a Burb anyway:confused:

When all is said and done though I may have to lower the back it is sitting a lot higher.

Got one side done though. Other should be a lot easier know what to cut and what to not cut. It is like triple wall though.
 
So got both sides skinned

Drivers went a lot faster then the passenger

could not get the top to save my life, so cut the whole side off.

I was going to have to make them shorter anyway so I took them all the way off. made it a lot easier to finish skinning the top anyway.

Going to be a lot easier to weld in the back cage now anyway

I bet you'll be heavier in the back once the tube is in...you can always ditch the overloads too
 
The one I am in the process of building,is way light in the rear. It hops going down the road. No shocks yet though.

Once it gets done I will run it up to the farm store and get it weighed again.

It will only be total weight not front and back though.
