Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

They are basically temporary attached at the front. Going to stay that way just have to mount them permanently. The rear bottom of them is where they were before top is now just where it looks like should be.

Not sure what I am going to do with the sheet metal pillar in the back. Will have to see what it looks like with it cut off. When we did the rear cage we forgot to follow the original lines of the rear doors. really do not want to redo the tube so will have to see what it looks like.

Woo hoo.

I still think once we are done we need to find another burb body and cut it up and attach for the final iteration.

I might even buy a can or 2 of that hideous color you call paint if that happens

boatside the orange and bend the sheet metal on the B pillar back to the fender

So spent my day off yesterday, before the giant hail storm and tornadoes, working on the Twink

Fount the noise that I was hearing coming out of Pritchet

It is my engine cage bar passenger side. I welder the pat to a plate and then the plate to the fire wall. It has been a few years so guess it did ok.

Next went to work on the roof. Neighbor has a plasma cutter. Those things are fun took a bit of practice to do it pretty good but seemed to work rather well. Skinned the roof off the structure going to re use that. Some parts of the side are going to get cut off and used also. Just not sure what yet.

Ordered my tube for the cage will hear 3-5 days 5-24 ft, 1 3/4 Hrew, 2-20 ft 1 1/2 Hrew, 1-20 ft 1 in. Hrew

All for a grand total of $211.15

I already have one stick of 1 3/4 so that will give me 6.
I also have the square tube for the sliders just may need to get some more for the runners off the sliders. I have some but they may be thicker then I want to use.
