Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

So was out working on the burb on Saturday, found some interesting stuff. Passenger side shock was rubbing on the inner fenderwell. I figured that I had cut it to small, :doah: nope. Frame is bent from somthing. I think that it was from the bumpstop which I had on the bottom of the shock mount. Guessing that the axle hit the bump stop and twisted the mount and pulled the bolt from the shock mount through the frame. :eek1:

So a little wire wheeling, grinding, welding, and some more grinding, then some paint, and a really big washer on the back side later, and its fixed :D

trialer wireing is done got no trailer brakes so I have to look into that.

rear diff is still leaking going to have to pull the cover and do some modding on it.

Well put in a new trailer brake controller brakes work OK

drove the Dodge to work today, yeah brakes were smoking seems I have a leaking seal somewhere get to fix that and new brakes now, busy day tonight and tomorrow.

Got the onboard air on the Burb done works great and it really cool. Have a quick connect under the hood and on the front and on the back. Runs about 60psi at idle.

still have to fix the leaky diff cover

and decide on the carb

So Matt aka Boondock and I spent the better part of Saturday chasing a spindle socket, and seals for the Dodge. Got the new brakes done and they work alot better might be able to stop now

Fixed the rear diff leak, Kurt don't believe the pic that Matt took, had to make the cover a little bigger, the designer got it wrong, builder did good its the designers fault.

Modded the rear doors in the Burb cut the inner panel out and put in a pair of 50 cal. ammo boxes. Looks pretty cool and should work really well.

Have too add some more axle lube and secure the rear air line and should be ready for the Bash

oh we did some tunning on the carb, works good now

Well made it back from the Bash, learned some things, HP60 flexed up can hit your oil filter thus preventing you from moving.

So front springs need to be changed to offset 56's and front spring hangers need to be rebuilt. Might pull of my oil cooler so my filter will be higher up and not hang down so far, may even have to go to a real short race filter.

Remote might be an idea

Front springs are out, front mounts are cut apart and both are waiting for me to get some time to fix them.

So posting some pictures on board air guagues and connectors and such.

Have a connector under the hood, on the front bumper, on the rear bumber, well front and back are behind the bumpers need to make a tab or connector or something to better attach them too.

front springs out and axle slid forward. Need to cut my inner fender a little more the shock is hitting it. I will be glad when the cage gets done going to make front shock bars to connect them to.
