Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

Thanks, hopefully they stay and don't come apart.

Got the winch controller mounted, it even bolts in, even the mount is bolted in :waytogo:

Have some wire tying then paint and maybe some fender mount tweaking to get them better aligned then the front is good.

So I had a question for you. Have you ran with shocks mounted like yours for.considerable amount of time off road?

I was kinda worried about mounting the tops of my shocks with the bolt facing front to rear, as opposed to the top bolt and mount facing right/left. Meaning...when the axle drops the.shock will want to move with the axle and possibly put unnecessary stress on the bolt, bushing, and mount.

I ended up mounting just like yours, but now im.wondering if it will prematurely wear out the top bushing if the upper mount bolt is facing front to.rear.

Hope that all made sense

Makes sense, these shocks have been on it since new the bushing seem to be surviving.

They will do moving up and down a lot more the front to back so I went that way first.

Right on. Thats what. Figured. And not knocking it, im still learing. I see alot of rigs that way now ive been looking and seem to hold up.great

I am sure there is some voodoo science about how you are soposto do it I just did them so the top and the bottom were in the same direction.

So thought I would post it in here also, got a new welder

got it big enough to do the welding needs of the cage and small enough for the body work needed.

It is a Hobart Handler 190

Nice little welder. I too have been looking for a smaller one for sheet metal and little work.
Also, your cross.bar looks.very close how mine is turing out.

That front end work looks killer Keith. Nice score on the welder.

Thanks guys the welder hurt a bunch to buy though. I will be able to do some sheet metal not though.

I have decided to get the MPFI in and get it working before I tackle the shortening and narrowing of the rear.

The FI is above the bob and dove in levels of importance so might as well do it first.
