Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

If you can find a Cat Scale nearby you can get front & rear weights from what I understand. I'm planning to use one near me for that purpose.

Spent the better part of a day figuring this out getting supplies and capping ends.

It is welded to the body cross member that the "C" pillar sits on.

Going to put stringers from the ends down to the frame. As well as down to the rock sliders when they get in.

Got the air tank in

Got the rear seat mount in, only a child or somebody as tall as the head rest will fit, Eric and Riley are a no go in it.

Got tube in the back. :waytogo:

Eric, I only have 6 more pieces left :woot: had ten when him and Riley left for the day. I even added an extra one.

Plan is to do one tube a night, then weld it all together. Cut the tack welds holding it too the frame, pull it out. Finish the top welds then put it back in.

Anybody not busy Thursday the 21st. I will be working on it all day and will more then likely need some help .

Removing the surrounding sheetmetal just to get weld access to all sides of the tubing is hardcore!

I like it. :)

Nice man very nearly there with the tube. I should have told you to do the roof tubes first. They can be fun. In a 6 weeks after i did them they weren't bad
