I actually go out the front window or the side over the tube door onto the front tire and down works rather well.
With the grass being as wet as it is I do have to lock it in.

what made you decide to put it in there? and what did you do with all the crap you had in the box?
Got tired of fixing the cover every time the wind blew. Covering the seats with boxes so the neighbors cats stayed off. Just a bit of a pain to put away after driving it.
Moved the shelves and just condensed some stuff got rid of a little bit but I had tons of space in the back so it really all fit fine.

Update for the day.
Did some work on it
Added a cig lighter and some charging ports for phones or what ever.
Have to come up with $400 more for the locker and the wide band O2 air fuel sensor thingy then it should be ready for September.
Then another $2700 for the trans in the tow rig, but that is another story.

Nice to see some good progress
So for the last five or six years, some of you may know and most don't. I have been running around with my TRE's bootless.
Figured it was no big deal only drove the thing in Moab for a few days and greased it rather good before I left so was not worried.
So because I started driving it around a lot more decided to fix it.
Got a hold of ORD and ordered two sets of boots a few months ago finally got around to putting them on. Today was my first day off other then Sunday in about two months so did some work on it.

They went on rather well and flexible enough to go over the ends.

Nice weather DD it sort of. Get a bit tired of the wind after a bit but it is still fun.
So pulled it into the garage, wife and kids left me alone for four days, they went to Bear Lake.
It fit street tires are a bit shorter so fits under the door. Did a bit of work on it, added some water bottle cages. Put one in each door and one in the back so every seat has a cage.
Need to figure out something to put my cell phone in/ on or something.
Going to possibly get the tuner thing this week but we will see.

I'm entirely disappointed in you Mr. Blazer, there is far too little duct tape in use on this particular vehicle.
Actually, I had thought up a way to have a cell phone holder using duct tape, cardboard, and velcro, might work for your application, and it would make the 4x4 gods happy.

I assume you called autometer?
those are the old metal sockets.. with flex tangs all the way around..
Would a thin piece of material mounted to the 3 studs with a whole drilled to fit one of the sockets you have work? Or it could be used as a backer to hold a socket in.
I have called Summit twice ordered a set of the ones that are soposto fit, they are too big. #3211
The ones with metal tangs all the way around #2389 say they are for Auto Gauge gauges. The holes in these gauges are a lot smaller. Then the Auto Gauge ones I have, so not sure they will fit.
I almost remember them to be just bulbs that slid in the rubber grommet.
I have a set of #2357's but they are also too big.
So AAAGGGG!!!
