Built a new tool to use in the coming weeks, months to help notching a little easier. Works really well and was a breeze to make. Can only do 90's and 45's but it is a good start.

Thought I would do another update since it has been a month since I have done one.

Built a stand for the stand. The OG stand is a bit bent so going to have to do a bit of fixing should not be all that hard to do. Just have to get the plate hot and bend it up about 1/4 of a inch.

So instead of spending $100 on a ram mount for the bender decided to go a little less expensive and build one. I used the handle that you put a piece of square tube on to make a longer handle. Figure if it doesn't work I am only out about an hour and $14. Got four, three inch muffler clamps welded the flat ends to the handle with a lot of bracing. Seems to support it rather well so we will see how it works.
Going to put a tack weld on it also on the front clamp and the rear clamp.

That is plan as well, she may get a bit more.
I would run a bar or a strap down around the bottom of the ram and capture the base somehow. all the force is just gonna push the ram out the bottom. The clamps aren't gonna hold it over time and clamping hard on that part of the jack is not a good idea. just run a piece of square tube off the flat pieces the clamps attach to on both sides and connect them with a bolt thru under the base.
I built it to resemble the mount from Swag Offroad, at least the same principle.
So put some tack welds on the ram. Figuring that it was not a good idea. Why you ask ? What could go wrong you wonder ?

It is fixed now, but has a big old glob of weld.

Made another cool tool for the pressure relief valve.
Took a 3/8th socket drilled a whole through the side. Removed the drift pin that was in the valve and put the socket on the valve then put the drift pin back in. Got my never used handy Snap-on palm ratchet and wala, saved me $14 plus shipping for the Swag one.

Such an easy conversion you would be crazy not to.
I have like $100 into with casters, ram and muffler clamps. The expensive route would only add another $100 for the Swag mount.
