Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

Not much protection for the guy who gets the rear most seat, huh?

you also need to gusset the top tubes above the rear seats to match the ones on the B piller. It will make it look even better and make it look like all one cage. It looks great tho

On the C pillar ? I dont have any shoulder ones left I can do the other ones though. Didn't do those because its really five tubes coming together at the C pillar.

So ended up putting a gusset on the C pillar to B pillar bar. Worked out well.

Changed my seat belt decision going to run a different one on the drivers side. Could not find the slides for the belts on the first ones. So ended up welding a mount for the shoulder belts drivers side. As well as a crotch strap mount for both the driver and the passengers seats. So the front two seats will have five point harnesses. The rear three seats will be four point harness.

Started working on the fenders.
The 73 rust free ish fenders and hood are not going to work. They fenders are not long enough. So ended up cutting and shortening the old fenders. Had to shorten the rear fenders also.
Got the drivers side front done and mounted all but the rear bottom. Need to trim it a bit more the make a mount for it.
Drivers side rear is done just need to make mounts for it.
Going to use one of my other hoods as well as another cowl piece that I have. The hood had a dent in the nose where it fell over but I should be able to make it work. Not like my old one was dent free. Have to figure out how to support the span once I cut the sides off. Reusing them like I did last time doesn't work very well.

The skins look good on there, but I agree with getting some roundness back to them. But I really do like the skins back on. Makes it look even more finished.
