So I decided to do a color change. after all the crap you guys have been giving me I am going to change the color










of the floor going to paint it olive drab green.

Bit of a update for today.

Didn't get to much done. Got the roof on going to have to trace the cage on the underside then trim off the stuff that is not needed.

Got the center console put where it is going and tabs welded to the box and nut zerks put in the floor to bolt it down.
Going to try and get the traction bar and its mount off in the morning. Then get them painted tomorrow night.

So made this today took four tries to get this idea. Friend that was over came up with it I think but it works really well. Other three ideas actually welded to the body then folded up. This just slips over the tube.

When I get to tired and can't make the stretch to the step, have this as a bit of help. Plus it can be hung on the other side or the back and taken off really easy. Just have to build a holder for it or make a place to store it.

Don't really need it to get out only in, sometimes.

Maybe something to hold it in place? I'd be afraid it would try to either slide or swing forward and plant you on your melon, or worse, your butt

It does a good job at staying in place. I may turn the stirrup so it is facing out. Instead of forward or back.

what of you kept the hook part over the bar, just shortened it and connected a loop of something like climbing rope with a spreader bar at the bottom of the loop to make the stirrup. then it would easier to store. lighter and you could get the rope in a cool color like orange

I think it would make it rather hard to keep it somewhat steady while getting in. It works great now just a bit difficult, depending on my shoes, getting my foot out. Which is why I am thinking about turning it the other way.

yeah..but the truck is sitting on level ground in your dirveway now..what if its on a 45 angle and your on the high side....then wheres that step gonna be facing?..if the step can bend with gravity then it will still be usable

It will bend when I step on it also though.

Ended up cutting it and rotating it. Works great maybe even to to good. Wont have any issues getting in, nobody will now.

Went to the scrap yard today took over some stuff I had cut off Twinkie. Minus a bumper and drive shaft that Riley put in the trailer, it was for the most part, all parts from Twinkie. Six hundred and twenty pounds, was actually quite surprised about how much it was.

Had two batteries and two transfer cases that I took also, but they weren't counted in that weight. Got more money for them separate.
