Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

So got my O2 sensor in the mail got it put in tonight.

Runs great, but not really because of that.

Did some figuring out on the interweb. My idea what the spark tune was well, all wrong. Amazing what you can do with a timing light and a bit of Google Fu'. So it runs rather well mixture seems about right according to the new O2 sensor.
One less issue to fix.

I would like to add timing control to mine but I'm a little worried about the added risk for messing it up. I'll probably just keep the factory curve which they claim is better than typical mech/vac advance.

Mine is basically back to 0 except at start up retarded it a bit. Runs a bunch better now. Going to get it registered maybe tomorrow take it out driving see if the dead spot around 3000 rpm is fixed.

Spent the morning downing a tree that was standing dead in my back yard.

Then got some work down on Twinkie.

Grill is in. Sits out farther from the fenders and hood then it did from the factory but hey not to much is still factory on this thing. Going to add a stinger of sorts that is going to go through the grill/ fender/ hood on the corners of the grill. So a bit will change look wise.

Took it to the farm store today also and got her weighed.

Not sure if the tool boxes were in when I weighed it last. The fuel tank is rather empty and the high lift jack was not in it but rather happy with the weight.

I have to look but I think it was 5640 before I started the rest of the cage. So cant complain about 5770, especially if the tool boxes weren't in.. The 5810 is before the back go narrowed.

and the kid spelled my name wrong........

Weight gives it traction. And every time I guess your name, the only reason I get it right is because spell checker corrects me.

you gonna have to change the trucks name to "lettuce" if you wanna loose anymore weight.

Spent a few hours working on the burb today.

Started building a stinger for a bumper of sorts. Have a bunch left to do on it but looks ok. Just about as tall as the ornament when you are looking at it from the drivers seat.
Going to do bars back to the radiator support. As well as one in the middle maybe to attach a light bar to but we will see about that.
