So been thinking about lowering the rear of the truck. I can get new shorter shackles, get a shorter shackle flip, or remake the shackle flip that I have. Any of those choices will lover it about two inches. I should be able to go about 4 with out any other issues, if not more.

Thoughts
 
I'd redo the shackle flip first. Shortening your shackle would take a LOT of shortening lol.

And why do you want to lower it?
 
The rear sits a lot higher then the front. Rather hard to get stuff in and out. The whole truck is going higher so thought I would make the back lower.
 
Guess I've never really seen a full side shot that I can remember.

I instantly pictured a bro dozer stance in my head when I read it though lol
 
So I pulled the rear down got it to where it was easier to get stuff in the back and such. It seems like about 2 inches would work. So got looking at my shackle flip seems rather easy to modify. Bolts are going to be a pain to get out because the fuel tank is on the way.

Did some other measuring new tires are about 4.5 inches taller then the ones I have on it now. May need spacers to clear the steering box.
 
Only if you do some cutting from what I've heard. Guys around here say they plug up with mud too easy.
