Some of the last homes built in a nearby development have big windows in the garage doors. It surprises me anyone would want that. I would at least frost the glass.

The only window that mine has.
On my garage I like to have windows to let some natural light in, but I keep them in the top row of the door and small. That way they are too high to see into.
Shop pictures, hallway room is insulated.
Major update coming with Twinkie.
Going to go to Full Size Invasion in Saint George next week, so she is getting a windshield.

Or are you zip tying a lean window to the cage?
No frame, windshield is not going to be stock, zip ties may be used also, but it is going to be bolted first.

It is all the way in four bolts five zip ties.
Need to clean it but it is going to work.
Has a whole bunch of extra holes in it because when I first did that I didn't know what I was doing so yeah.
Going to use this one this next weekend and then I think turn it into a half windshield or a quarter windshield or something like that.
I have a whole another piece to redo as a full windshield also.

Did you just get plexiglass or the good flexible AR polycarbonate stuff?
Not sure, it was free and about 1/2 inch thick.
It is pretty stiff but does bend on the sides.

I'll bet it polycarbonate. I don't think you could get 1/2" acrylic/plexiglass to bend
So I have been thinking for a long time. About how to get doors and windshield back into Twinkie. Because I kind of like to be able to drive it more often other than just going to Moab.
Don't really have an answer quite yet but it may involve cutting the cage off and stuff. Or at least the front half of the cage which may mean the whole thing. Not really sure how far I would want to go in the deconstruction process but having a heater and windows and maybe even air conditioning would be nice.

I know I don't want to build another one and keep Twinkie because I would never drive Twinkie.
But then I also don't want to build something that's not as capable as twinkie is to a point.

If you want make it more sealed to drive in harsh weather you can make custom doors and keep the cage.
It might not be weather tight but weather friendly
