Blinker assembly installation.

On my 84 it's impossible to get the blinker assembly harness down the steering column all the way. It gets stuck about half way. Do I need to disassemble the steering column or remove it from the truck?

That's what I remember when I was trying to do it

if you get the tools you can un-pin the connector and slide just the wires down
