Where are you located?
What do I need to look for when pulling the cover? I'm in California right now but I'm moving back to Arizona next week.
@Greg Ducato should answer this. I'll say to look for gunk that shouldn't be there. Sludge, smoke, pieces of metal or clutch lining. Stuff that doesn't look like tranny fluid.
im sure you can find some one to rebuild it on the side for around 400 bucks. when you go used you might stuck where you are now a week after swapping transmissions.
