BMWs - Now a 2008 335xi!

Considering I go back and forth between my burb and my bmw, I'm not offended.

But yes, there are a lot of dbags in expensive cars.

I mostly laugh when people judge my cars. I'd drive my $25k 550i to the jobsite, and park next to 2 brand new F150's, 1 ecoboost and one platinum. The platinum was close to 2x the cost of my car. Yet, I was the spoiled asshole for driving the BMW  Hell, I got 90% of that reaction when i was in my $5k 540i.

All sorts of people always asked if it was my Project Manager's. He was driving a brand new Tacoma, yet I looked out of place in the BMW. Whatever:whistle::haha:

I got the same reaction driving my beater E36 to work. "Must be nice to be rolling in the cash..."

Yeah, let me just park my $2500 BMW next to your $70,000 Ram and we can talk more about it.

People are dumb. As for begging to be punished, that's a BMW trait no matter the car or age. Even the little 1.9 four banger in my E36 seemed happier banging 7000 rpm shifts then putzing around. Helps to have a great chassis, perfect balance and ferocious brakes too. :waytogo:

Yep. Their 4's and 6's are soooo smooth.

Got my TPMS sensors swapped over to my snow tires, and got them balanced. Fingers crossed that they run true on the highway now.

Also have waaay too many parts trickling in for this thing. White Angel Eye LEDs, mats, cargo liner, snow cables, tuneup parts, etc. My last few days at my job hurt my credit card, haha.

Nice purchase! I loved my 335i. Other than a water pump dying at 26K it was flawless until I sold it with 92K in July.

This car is an absolute blast. Why did the need for an awd finally convince me to get a little bimmer? Having so much fun with this thing!

Last day of work, turned off traction control and let it rip. No car should be able to spin 4 tires so easy .....

Nice ride. I had a 335i as a loaner back when mine was still under warrantee. I'll be considering one when the time comes for a new car.

I hear you on the clueless people thing. I paid less for my 530i than my jeep- by a lot.

BMW Rubber Mats, oil change, put my stuff in, flashlight mounted under rear deck lid, hardwired V1 radar detector.

Those damn V1's are sensitive. Can't tap any power in the overhead console, or it shuts off when you open the sunroof. Tapped at the fuse block, but probably wasted 10 phone cord ends trying to get one to work right. Think the resistance of the "extra" wire i was using was killing me. Cut out my extra loops (had put them there for location flexibility) and it started working.

Never hard wired it in my last BMW, but it had a good cigarette lighter under the glove box, that was out of the way. Only one to plug this into in this car is in front of the shifter, and I'm deleting that one and the ashtray in favor of the factory "oddments" tray, so I have somewhere to toss my phone.

Installed some LED bright white angel eye bulbs, deleted the cigarette lighter and ashtray in favor of an oddments tray, and did most of a service. Waiting for a 12pt spark plug socket.

Oddments tray. Now I have a place for my phone!
