Boatsided crew cab with doors

I don't think I've ever seen the lattice method of frame boxing.
Pros/cons?

I have talked about that style of frame beef in my mind it should work well. Did you add any crossmember in the middle?

It will have a flat bottom skid plate to help it out

Added some 3/4" for recovery in all 4 corners.

I didn't want to shorten the frame..and I had a alot of work already done to the suburban frame.

Cut out another cross member and replaced it with another piece of c-channel.

So made a jig for 4"shackle reversals and swing shackles. And I use these aluminum bushings I made in a lathe.

So the great thing about this shop is it has a gantry crane that has allowed me to move the cab off and on all by myself.

So to start the boatsides I started with the doors first. I cut 8" off the bottom of the doors. And the windows can still go all the way down.

Ok I had to use two upper hinges on the fronts doors. But the rears worked out perfectly.
