Did I get jipped two bushings halves with this kit?

I have the front six. I am confused with the rear mounts. DO I need to dig through my trashbarrel to reuse old parts?

I know I need one more retaining washer also.

Thanks,
Heaph

Yeah. I feel like I am missing two bushing lowers unless the rear most mounts only have a bushing between the frame and body. Doesnt really make sense. Should I get on the horn?

Definitely.

Did I use the word jipped?

SO basically there should be 20 bushings. 10 upper...10 lower

Not 18

God dammit!

For what rig? Regular cab, crew, blazer?

Where did you get the retaining washers? They come with the kit? Which kit? Body lift or bushings?

You know you still need the upper part of the washer thingies that sit between the BL and bushing. Its a cup shaped steel insert that fits in the upper bushings.

blazer.

the washers came from the blazer im rebuilding. reuse.

The poly kit is "Prothane" for an 88 k5

The body lift is a trailmaster.

For something that seems so f-in simple, this is a hassle.
so...the lift blocks dont just sit on the upper poly bushing?

Thanks for the help man.

No, the BL sits on top of a metal cup shaped part that the bushing slides onto first. Let me get a picture of them as I have new bushings and the factory washer hardware to show you what I mean.....

Give me a few minutes.....

Ok, got a few pics of mine.

Be aware the upper steel part is the '81 and '82 years only. '83 on up have a different type.

You should have at least 6 of these, two for the radiator support, 2 for the front cab, 2 for the rear cab and the rest under the tub.
Since I've never removed a K5 tub from a frame, I can't tell you how many more of these steel parts you need.

Somebody else should chime in soon.

Sorry about the crappy pics. And the shiny round thing you see in the pic is the ORD 1" body lift puck. I just threw it in for show.

No prob.

You should have those upper steel parts in your K5. I'd be surprised if you didn't.
