Body lift trans linkage

Does anybody have a photo of their transmission linkage after a 3" body lift? I am not exactly sure where I am supposed to cut it and weld in the extension. Any tips on doing it?

time to buy a cable shifted shifter. The stock trans linkage on my '85 never seemed very beefy to me, not sure I'd feel any better about it with an extra chunk welded onto the end of it. Definitely need good welds...

I always weld mine on the end of the linkage, never had any problems.

i welded mine on the most vertical part. never had any problems but you will have to adjust the little needle in your dash
