I discovered a few days ago that I need new body mounts on my Suburban.. and I'm missing a bolt all together :eek1:

I was curious is there anything particularly tricky about doing the 1" ORD lift? On the Subs are any of the mounts above the fuel tank?

not sure on the Sub-specific details, but I thought it was a good idea to disconnect the steering shaft from the steering box and the trans shift linkage too.

Sounds good and easy.. good excuse to toss the XJ shaft I have in then  My rag joint is starting look pretty tired(not as bad as the one in my K5 was when I swapped it though).

not sure about the burb. but my blazer the way GM did it ( which is very homosexual) I had to cut holes in the floor pans to get to the body mount bolts. oh, make sure u cut the fan shroud first and disconnect the shift linkage, the steering shaft shouldnt give u ne problems. my body mounts are trashed too.. check out this side...raybuckauto.com.. alot of helpful products there.

yes the tank blocks 2 of the back bolts on a sub so it has to drop

Those are probably the trickiest I'd assume? I got to drop my tank for the shackle flip anyways, I'll hold off till I have the mounts and lift in hand then :eek1:
