Body mounts rusty? LMC Truck/grind/weld...

and get chunks in your eyes... LMC makes exact replacement bushings and associated bits. Some GM in the box, most others from Thailand, Taiwan etc... They're pricey, $275 inc S&H, but it's the only way to go when you want a facory style job. They refuse to sub poly bushings for rubber. Shame.

Here's what my '87 Sub looked like today... Bent some stainless tin, ground what my 5" grinder could reach, welded and installed LMC mount kit. Finish to-morrow. Xerox the catalog page to figure out what goes where. My bushings were so rusty as to be unrecognizable!

...but works great! Just drove almost 12 hours/600 miles to Pittsburgh to pick up a 63 Corvair ragtop. No more body wag from the back, what a pleasure. Now the fronts to be done, howling 4.10: diff, no o/drive, yada, yada...
