Grab the body now, wheel the hell out of your rig until your current body is shot, then do the swap.

Unless it's a daily driver that hit the trails 1-2 times a year. If it is then swap the body and get another rig cheap and run it till it dies.

I say buy the other body and store it. Wheel your Burb as it is and swap the bodies once your current one is spent. Besides, once you quit worrying about the body, wheeling is more fun.:haha: :D

I vote Sheet Metal!!!

I just over 3 grand into redoing my body from the New England salty winters and of coarse a few dents and a lot more scratches.

Ya can get some doors cheap though, white spray paint 'em if ya have'ta! :wink1:
The smartest post I have seen yet.;) I just bought a 91 3/4 ton 4wd Burban for cheap. It has some bad rust spots, but other wise a clean rig like yours. Even has new 350 w/ less than 10k miles. Needs a tranny tho. Anyhow, I plan to use it to pull my K5 to the trail.

get the other body for a spare, and when the current one is ALL bashed up, change it.

What he said. Wheel it for a year or two more and then change it over.
