I am working on the body work to get my K5 back together. I have some pitted rust on the rear lower quarter panels behind the rear tires. I have sandblasted the rust. I cant get it all out because of the pits I guess. So what should I do to finish removing the rust and then how to repair this area? body filler? I would like to do something that is very durable because of how prone these areas are to rust... thanks any advice is good advice...
Try getting the area as clean as you can then use Por-15 on it. The Por-15 will chemically change any rust that is left, so I don't think you should have a problem with it. That's just what I think (and would do).

p.s Por-15 does have a web site with more info but I cannot remember the exact address right now, try
