Ive got a 1985 K5 blazer with a carbed 350 (ran the numbers and it was a 1980-81 block) has an edlebrock intake but other wise stock. it has been running fine since i got it and even after i have taken it through some mud, yesterday how ever we were out mudding and on the drive home i would get a nasty bog/stutter/hesitation around half throttle. i know there could have been a bit of water in my engine but Ive drove it for 50+kms now and it hasn't fixed its self. i tried running with no filter thinking it was lack of air and that didn't help either. check to see if my wires were all on correctly and they were. as far as testing goes that is about all i have done what should i check/test/replace. also the engine idles fine and works at 1/4 no problems and to go from 1/4 to WOT it has no probelms only if i roll the throttle up to 1/2. the bog/stutter/hesitation I'm talking about almost feels like when you try getting on the throttle of a cold carbed engine, and you can feel the engine "chugging along" It doesn't matter what gear I'm in it still does it right around 1/2.

i was thinking it could be either a fuel/carb problem or an ignition system failure if some one could shed somemore light on this i would greatly appreciate it

minimal water/mud in the air cleaner, tested with out air cleaner in place, didnt make a differece, ended up taking the carb off and unleashing fury with an entire can of carb clean and it cleared up my problem, didnt dis-assemble the carb or anything just sprayed what i could get at with the straw, something mush have just got a piece of silt or something in it
