"Bolt-on" Single cab conversion

Not heard from Texasbuggys, but I did get a line on a rolled K5 tub and I am waiting until he parts it out.....also looking for a fiberglass shop in Houston.

That's about it bud!

I have another rear window out of my Dodge Rampage, and I need to see if that will work as it looks better, but I still need to find a cab to make a jig, a chevy sliding rear window, or hell a solid one, and a fiberglass guy to build me units.

That's it!:D

I'll add...

The top section was fiberglass, and accepted a standard pickup rear window. The lower piece is a steel bulkhead that bolted in, and allowed a weatherproof seal and also served to block off the cab from the bed.

I would absolutely *love* to get one of these. It'd make a Blazer SOOOOOOO much more versatile. You'd have the option of a full K5, a pickup, or topless... or a hybrid. Run the half cab kit, and pop out the rear window (much easier to manage than a full top) and it'd be like running topless, but the bulkhead would still be intact. If a rain storm popped up, just put the fiberglass section back in.

One last thing...the heat and A/C would work *much* better if it were only having to heat or cool 1/3 of the space.
it is still not a truck Jon...:haha:anything that can't carry a full 4x8 sheet pf plywood with the gate shut ..is NOT a truck. actualy if it can't carry 60 sheets, its a punkass truck.:p:

ooohhh are we driving the CDL flatbed now Daryl?

I could really use one of these things... I'm considering putting my '88 diesel back on the road, but the rear bed has so many holes that turning it into a pickup would be a quick and easy (temporary) fix

Anyone have any leads? If I could find one, I'd look into finding someone to reproduce them for the rest of the brotherhood, if it could be done affordably

everyone with a K5 should have one of these things IMO :thumb:
