I think you're right, that bed does look like it's a tad darker than the rest of the truck.

And yeah, looks better now that everything can be seen. :D

yeah its a different red for sure. in person its REALLY hard to see it though. the 16 megapixel camera picks it up good though. I may re spray the sides and tailgate someday in the not so near future to match. I have the factory paint code for the front. shouldn't be more than a wet sand and a pint of paint since going over red anyway:dunno:

almost looks like it was done with a darker base coat or something. looks like the same red, just something under it is making it look darker. Weird.

that's possible... he told me he painted the bed and the back of the cab to blend it but the bed is the only part that looks off so i'd say that's a very good possibility

haha... yes it is really.... I love that place:thumb: this truck fits ALOT better than the burb does:rolleyes:

steps are off..... now to put them on CL. carwash didn't last long:rolleyes:

going back through the pics your right:thinking: that could make it look better. that probably doesn't affect mpg or anything too much either I wouldn't think.

tomorrow I have to go back to the carwash and wash up them steps and the old tires for picture time and CL posts. with any luck ill get about $875 out of all of it to help pay for the wheels n tires since I sorta jumped the gun on them:rolleyes: knowing what I do now the other tires would have been just fine for another year or 2.

A few guys on here don't like the front air dam, but I can tell you from experience when the front air dam on my mothers truck was busted up from a tow strap tow home, and I had to completely remove it for awhile, it seemed like a lot air turbulence movement in the truck while driving at highway speeds. Like the truck was bouncing, or just being tossed around a bit more than previously with the dam installed.

I ended up buying a new one to replace it and that feeling went away.

They aren't very big, but they do assist with air movement over and under the truck.

Just to counter that story, I took the one off my 12 and didn't notice anything from it. I still get over 20mpg on the highway.

Is there really a removeable dam on those cars?

I thought only the 90's style had one that you could remove.

The newer one is really part of the bumper, and looks silly without

I would imagine that carried it through. Like I said, I pulled mine off. Check out my 12 thread. I have before and after pics. It was only 2 bolts.

I can try it without, and put it back on if it causes an issue:waytogo:

Yeah, they bolt on, they are more contoured with the bumper now though, not a straight down piece of plastic.
