By this statement I would assume electrical. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

Fittings usually come with mechanical guages....... /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

By fittings I am pretty sure he is talking about the senders. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Also amp gauges are electrical.

Unless you want to monitor current during heavy electrical draw a volt gauge would be more useful than a amp gauge.

...my volt guage just has a big spring that runs to the battery... /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

amp guages are elecrical???

my three guage pod was mechanical temp and oil. Also had a volt guage.

WHats your point?

My point is that an amp gauge is more than useless on a K5, as we don't really care how many amps our electrical is consuming, usually not even enough to move the needle on the gauge. I consider a volt gauge to be much more useful because it can let me know the condition of my battery when the vehicle is not running and if my alternator is charging when the vehicle is running. I would figure that if someone asks how to hook up the triple gauge set that there is a good possibility that they may not realize that amp gauges are less than useless, I didn't know either when I bought my first set.

Yes, both gauges are electrical.

Oh, ok. I saw my name at the top of your post, thought it was for me. I wasn't very clear in the first post anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif
